FAQs
+ What are eyelash extensions?
Eyelash extensions are single or multiple strands of synthetic or even possibly real hair lashes that are attached one-by-one to your natural lashes. It is the safest way to extend lashes long-term besides actually having surgical hair follicles implanted in to your lash line (yes, that's really a thing!).
+ Will they ruin my natural lashes?
Eyelash extensions, placed on correctly and taken care of correctly, will NOT ruin your natural lashes.
+ What if I get an allergic reaction? Or have sensitive eyes?
If you develop an allergic reaction, let us know as soon as possible so we can have you come in and see if it’s an irritation to the glue or the lashes. Sometimes, certain people are not compatible with the extensions/lash adhesive and if it comes to that point, we would advise removing the extensions. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL BE FREE FROM ANY ALLERGIC REACTIONS/IRRITATIONS.
+ How long do they last?
Anywhere from 4-6 weeks. Your natural lashes shed anywhere from 6-8 weeks so when your natural lash sheds, the extensions will fall off with it. That's why we advise our clients to come in for refills every 2-3 weeks to maintain them. You should see about 1/3 to 1/2 of your lashes shed after about 2-3 weeks.
+ Do I need to curl them?
We carry multiple types of curls so you do not need to curl your lashes before or after getting extensions. We can easily customize the perfect curla and shape for you!
+ Can I exercise?
Of course! You can do light exercise while wearing lash extensions. Excessive exercising and sweating can cause the extensions to fall out quicker so it may mean more frequent lash refill visits. Highly recommend staying clear of steam rooms and saunas.
+ What is the difference between classic and volume lashes?
The difference between the sets we offer are how natural or dramatic you would like to go. If you’re looking for a more natural and undetectable look where you don’t want people to notice you have them on, we recommend the CLASSIC or HYBIRD set. If you’re looking for an everyday mascara-look and something a little fuller but not too dramatic, we recommend the VOLUME set. If you want something that’s over the top dramatic and you don’t want to put in the work for it, we would recommend the MEGA VOLUME set.
+ How long does it take?
Each set has a different time frame. Depending on the set and style that you choose, it can take anywhere from an hour and 20 minutes to 2.5 hours. If you are coming back for refills, depending on how full you would like to maintain them, it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, our one-hour regular refill being most common.
+ Can I get them wet?
Yes, but you must keep water away from your lashes for the first 24 to 48 hours after application or touch-ups. Water can weaken the adhesive before it is set and cause your extensions to fall off. After that, you may get them wet just as you normally would! Keep note: salt water and chlorine water will break down the glue just a bit faster.

+ What is the glue made of? What kind of glue do you use? Is it medical grade or FDA-approved?
Our glue is specially formulated with cyanoacrylate as our main ingredient. It is formaldehyde-free and similar to bonding glue used surgically. Although almost no pro eyelash extension glues are made with formaldehyde, once the glue bottles are opened, it can create a very minuscule trace of formaldehyde because of air exposure. Due to this, we toss out all glues after 6 weeks for freshness. Our glue is not MEDICAL GRADE or FDA-APPROVED because no eyelash extension glue is deemed medical grade or approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
+ How are they placed/put on?
Extensions are placed on to your natural lashes approximately 1mm away from your skin, making sure we don't touch your skin with adhesive. Each extension is adhered to one natural lash ALWAYS.
+ Does it matter if I'm pregnant?
You can still get lashes while pregnant as the extensions don't come in contact with the skin when we place the extensions on. The only thing is you will be laying down for a long period of time for the appointment and it may become uncomfortable but it is still safe to get your lashes done. Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding and/or taking hormone and birth control pills should take into consideration that these reasons may cause your natural lashes to shed, grow or last longer than normal and there is no guarantee of the life of your extensions.
+ What makeup can I wear?
You can wear eyeshadow and eyeliner as long as it is oil-free and removed daily. Any oil-based liquid products are not recommended, because oil can weigh down the lashes and result in premature loss of the extensions. Absolutely no mascara/waterproof mascara because it breaks down the glue quicker and can cause your extensions to fall off quicker. Now why would you want that?!
+ What type of lashes do you carry/what are they made of?
We carry faux mink eyelash extensions which are made of high-quality PBT (polyurethane terephthalate) made to mimic real mink fur. It is hypoallergenic and animal-cruelty free. Most places that say they use "real mink" are actually using faux mink and choosing to call it just "mink".

+ Why don't we use 100% real siberian mink fur, you ask?
Real Mink Fur comes from farmed mink animals and although they're not killed in the process of retrieving this fur, they are brushed all day, every day and the hair that falls off is collected. Manufacturers have "promised" that there is no animal-cruelty or killing involved but can you imagine being brushed all day until all your hair falls off?? Sounds pretty cruel to us! Real mink hair may also put you at a higher risk of allergic reaction if the hairs are not sanitized properly, therefore we choose not to carry real mink fur.
+ Can I wear mascara?
We don’t recommend wearing mascara while wearing the extensions. You want to keep the extensions as clean as possible. Mascara can also damage the extensions by breaking down the lash adhesive. Waterproof mascara is an even bigger no-no because it is hard to remove and can actually pull off the lashes prematurely when trying to clean off.
